Job Title: English Teacher

Location: Blackpool

Position Overview:
As an English Teacher, you'll deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students across various age groups. You'll foster critical thinking, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the power of language through teaching practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for guiding young minds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver English lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Cultivate a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and exploration of English language and literature.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and enhance their language proficiency and literary understanding.
  • Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate their academic growth and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English Literature, English Language, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level.
  • Strong command of the English language and a deep understanding of English literature.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in English studies.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practice.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
