Emily Porter

Hi, I’m Emily! 

I’m a Senior Consultant at Spencer Clarke Group working alongside SEND schools, PRUs and alternative provisions throughout Lancashire and Merseyside. I recruit for roles such as SEND Teachers and SEND Teaching Assistants, helping educational settings grow their team with dedicated individuals. 

In 2020 I qualified as a primary school Teacher and worked on long-term supply. After a year in this position, I began my career as an education recruitment specialist. My experience in schools has given me a great insight into how they operate and the characteristics needed to deliver positive outcomes for children and young people. 

I joined the education team at Spencer Clarke Group in August 2024. Since then, I’m really proud to have developed great relationships with my clients and candidates. It’s an honour to work alongside those who can change the lives of students with SEND and SEMH. Our positive relationships with schools throughout the UK even led to us winning Best Temporary Recruitment Agency at the 2025 Recruiter Awards! 

Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends, going to the gym and shopping. I have two gorgeous Golden Retrievers, Bear and Buddy, who have even made an appearance in the office!
