If you are thinking about joining the interim market, it would be a good idea to give us a call on 01772 954200. There are different avenues to explore but one of our SEND specialists can set you on the path which is right for you.
Once you’re registered and onboarded with Spencer Clarke Group, you will have full access to all SEND jobs which are sent out on a weekly basis. The application process is then fairly straightforward, usually consisting of a 1 or 2 stage interview process.
We pride ourselves on working very quickly; on average it takes us between 1 - 3 days to place an experienced SEND professional.
There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to contract lengths but you can typically expect a contract to last between 6-12 months. However, contracts can last for years depending on the needs of the local authority SEND service which you are working for.
As an agency, we pride ourselves on long term partnerships, not just one-off placements. Many of our SEND professionals stay with us for years because they feel part of something - a community that values them, invests in them and helps them grow professionally.
Absolutely not. You will always have full control of where your CV is sent. We will present job opportunities to you and you can advise if you would like your CV to be submitted.
Working the interim market can be daunting if you’re not sure what to expect. It’s important to note that contracts are regularly extended. As we work with the majority of local authorities in the UK, there are always other job opportunities available. As your contract is nearing the end, we will proactively work with you to line up your next placement.
It totally depends on the local authority but the majority of positions which we offer are remote or hybrid working patterns. The work pattern type will be listed on the job advert.
