Hi, I’m John!

I specialise in temporary appointments within the public sector, recruiting nationwide. I work across transformation, recovery and improvement, social care, IT, corporate functions and project/programme management. I work alongside professionals in executive positions, such as Service Leaders, Directors and Transformation Leaders. 

Before embarking on a career in recruitment, I spent 16 years working in hospitality for big names such as Living Ventures and Jamie Oliver. During these years, I honed essential skills such as clear communication and organisation, both of which are essential in recruitment. 

Spencer Clarke Group is the perfect place for me because of my love for working with people. Being a good recruiter is so much more than finding people jobs; it’s about understanding your candidates, what their goals are and finding a business who shares their values. 

The interim market moves fast and I take great pleasure in getting to know candidates, so I’m confident they are entering a contract where they will excel.

Likewise, it’s essential that local authorities know the individuals I introduce them to will do a great job. Interim workers must embark on a project with no training and the relationship I have developed with local authorities means I truly understand what their team requires. 

Outside of work, I’m a huge music fan and I can often be found at various gigs and live events.
