Hi, I'm Joe!

I specialise in education recruitment working with primary schools in West Lancashire, South Ribble, Sefton, Liverpool and the Wirral. I typically recruit for Teacher and Teaching Assistant positions for daily cover or on a temporary and permanent basis. 

Prior to my career in education recruitment, I spent 3 years teaching Primary Education in a variety of schools across Lancashire. I have a PGCE focussed on Primary Education from Edge Hill University.

My experience working as a Teacher has given me a real insight into the education industry and I think this has benefited me since my move into recruitment. I know exactly what it takes to be a successful Teacher and this allows me to find my clients the best talent out there.

I love working in recruitment because every day is different and I really thrive in a fast-paced industry. Building strong relationships with clients is a skill of mine and I find it really rewarding to help people find their dream role.

Education recruitment is especially rewarding as I’m able to play a small part in shaping a child’s future and providing them with high-quality teaching. Our dedication to this helped us win Best Temporary Recruitment Agency at the 2025 Recruiter Awards!

My goal at Spencer Clarke Group is to develop an inclusive desk built upon strong relationships and transparency. What I love about the company is that we work hard but we also know how to have fun. Whether it’s dressing up for Halloween (of which I’m the reigning fancy dress champion) or we’re celebrating our Employees of the Month, hard work is always rewarded.  

In my spare time, I love working out at the gym and travelling. Whether it’s a weekend away or a day out exploring with my partner and little boy, I really appreciate the time I get to unwind and relax!
