Hi, I'm Matt!
I’m a Lead Consultant at Spencer Clarke Group where I specialise in secondary education recruitment. I work alongside secondary schools in the North West, recruiting for Cover Supervisors, Teachers and Teaching Assistants for daily cover or on a temporary and permanent basis.
The whole process starts with a conversation; whether you’re searching for top talent to join your school, or you’re in the market for a new teaching opportunity, it’s my job to uncover your values and aspirations to match you to the perfect candidate or role. I thoroughly enjoy the whole process and I get great job satisfaction from helping candidates and clients alike.
I have worked in recruitment for over 10 years. I started in education recruitment before heading to the accountancy and finance sector - and then back to education. I loved gaining experience within a different sector, but education is my passion and I find working alongside schools and Teachers extremely rewarding.
At Spencer Clarke Group we aim to go above and beyond. Whether it’s our excellent compliance process or the additional training we offer, such as our Cover Supervisor Training, you’re in safe hands with us. We were even crowned Best Temporary Recruitment Agency at the 2025 Recruiter Awards.
When I’m not recruiting, I love spending time with my wife and two children. You’ll usually find me in a nice restaurant or on the golf course!
