Nicole Sherwood

Hi, I’m Nicole! 

Before pursuing my career as a Content Writer, I worked within hospitality and retail for a number of years. It was throughout my roles at Debenhams and Costa Coffee that I learnt a number of key skills which I still use today. 

I am very proud to hold a degree in Journalism and my love for music and all things vintage even saw me complete a Masters degree in The Beatles: Music Industry and Heritage.

Having spent many years pursuing education which involved me writing and being creative, I knew a career in content writing would be right up my street. That’s exactly how I ended up at Spencer Clarke Group. 

I am responsible for creating engaging and insightful career advice for our own career hub and external publications. I write across multiple topics and cover all of our specialisms. 

As part of my role, I have the opportunity to interview hundreds of industry professionals to get an in-depth perspective on the sectors we recruit in. I love learning from them and sharing their insights with people who are considering a future career in the sector. 

In 2025, we were named Best Recruitment Agency Marketing Team at the Recruiter Awards - an amazing accolade which I’m really proud of. 

In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies, especially Old Hollywood films. I also like going to the theatre in Manchester or London!
