Contract Type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday

Daily Rate: £105 to £110 per day

We are recruiting a committed and adaptable Additional Needs Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Blackpool. This is a full-time role starting ASAP, working Monday to Friday during term time.

About the Role:

You will support pupils with a range of additional needs within a mainstream setting, helping them access the curriculum alongside their peers. Some of your work will be one to one, some in small groups, and some supporting the whole class so the teacher can focus where they are needed most.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils with additional needs to access lessons and stay engaged
• Adapting resources and tasks so the work is pitched at the right level
• Delivering targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy and social skills
• Contributing to EHCP reviews and tracking progress against individual targets
• Working closely with the SENCO, class teacher and outside agencies

Who We're Looking For:

We welcome applications from people with experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant, as well as graduates and those moving into education from childcare, care work or youth work.
You must be:

• Adaptable and quick to adjust your approach
• Patient and encouraging
• Proactive and confident using your initiative
• A strong communicator who works well within a team
• Holder of an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willing to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
