Are you the calm presence a young person needs on a tough day? Do you want a role where building relationships is the job?
We are recruiting a committed and enthusiastic Behaviour Support to join a supportive school in Blackpool. This is a full-time role starting ASAP, working Monday to Friday during term time.

About the Role:


You will support pupils whose behaviour affects their learning, working with the pastoral and SEND teams to help them engage, regulate and make better choices in school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with behavioural needs in and out of the classroom
  • Follow behaviour plans and use positive de-escalation strategies
  • Mentor pupils and help them set and reach personal targets
  • Help pupils settle back into lessons after difficult moments
  • Log behaviour and progress and share it with staff

Who We're Looking For:


This role suits someone with experience of supporting young people, such as:

  • Behaviour or Learning Mentors and SEMH Teaching Assistants
  • Youth workers and residential care staff
  • Sports coaches and activity leaders
  • Psychology, criminology or social care graduates

You must be:

  • Resilient and able to stay positive
  • Consistent with clear, fair boundaries
  • Empathetic and able to see past the behaviour
  • Confident in managing difficult situations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
