We are recruiting a committed and enthusiastic Classroom Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Preston. This is a full-time role starting ASAP, working Monday to Friday during term time.

About the Role:

You will work alongside the class teacher in a friendly mainstream primary setting, supporting whole class learning and helping small groups who need a little extra help with reading, writing and maths.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher with lessons and classroom routines
• Run small group and one to one interventions in literacy and numeracy
• Prepare resources and keep the classroom organised
• Support pupils' wellbeing and behaviour throughout the day
• Help with supervision at break and lunchtimes

Who We're Looking For:

Classroom experience is welcome but not essential. We would love to hear from:

• Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants
• Nursery, childcare or play work backgrounds
• Graduates considering a career in teaching
• Parents, sports coaches and youth volunteers

You must be:

• Friendly and approachable with children and staff
• Organised with good attention to detail
• Proactive and happy to use your initiative
• Positive with a can do attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
