Daily Rate: £105 to £110 per day

We are recruiting an enthusiastic Classroom Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Garstang. This is a full-time role starting ASAP, working Monday to Friday during term time.

About the Role:

As a Classroom Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher to support pupils across the curriculum, helping them build confidence, independence and a genuine love of learning. You will support small groups, work one to one where needed, and help keep the classroom a calm and positive place to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and classroom activities
• Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning in literacy and numeracy
• Helping to prepare resources and maintain an organised, engaging classroom environment
• Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting pupils' social and emotional development
• Assisting with assessment, feedback and record keeping under the teacher's direction

Who We're Looking For:

We welcome applications from people with experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Cover Supervisor, as well as graduates, sports coaches, youth workers and anyone considering a future career in teaching.
You must be:

• Reliable and committed to the pupils you support
• Patient and calm under pressure
• Proactive and willing to use your initiative
• A strong communicator who works well as part of a team
• Holder of an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willing to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
