£400 Per day - Negotiable
4-5 month initial contract
Part time - 3 days per week - One day onsite essential requirement
We are seeking an experienced Education Advocacy Officer to support our client in the South East who look after children and young people with sight loss. This is a great opportunity for candidates who have a passion for defending and supporting parents and families with young people who deal with these impairments.
Essential requirements
Must have previous experience within Local Authority SEND
Strong knowledge of up to date SEND legislation including the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice 2015
Experience in EHCP process including assessment, annual review and amendment
Duties include
Support children with vision impairments and their families.
Help families understand SEND rights and the EHCP process
Advocating for children and families during SEND Tribunal proceedings.
