Spencer Clarke Group Education are currently recruiting for an English Teacher to join a secondary school on the Fylde Coast, to cover a maternity cover position.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join a supportive school and make a real difference to students' progress and confidence.
You will be responsible for:
- Teaching English across KS3 and KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging, challenging lessons
- Preparing students for GCSE examinations
- Differentiating lessons to meet a range of abilities and needs
- Monitoring and assessing student progress
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively
- Building positive relationships with students
- Working collaboratively with the English department
- Contributing to the wider life of the school
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching English within a secondary school
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for English and education
- The ability to inspire and engage student
- A commitment to inclusive and high-quality teaching
