Hair & Beauty Tutor / Teacher - Secondary SEMH School

We are currently recruiting for a Hair & Beauty Tutor / Teacher to work within a secondary SEMH school in Bolton, supporting pupils who may have additional social, emotional and mental health needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in Hair & Beauty who is passionate about sharing their skills, engaging young people and helping pupils develop practical skills for their future.

The Role:

• Deliver engaging and practical Hair & Beauty sessions to secondary-aged pupils.

• Plan and deliver lessons that develop pupils' knowledge and practical abilities.

• Support pupils in developing confidence, independence and employability skills.

• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the individual needs of pupils.

• Manage challenging behaviour and create a positive learning environment.

• Encourage pupils to engage with learning and achieve their potential.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience within Hair & Beauty, ideally with a relevant qualification.

• Experience delivering training, teaching or practical sessions.

• Previous experience working with young people with SEMH needs would be advantageous.

• Confident managing challenging behaviour and engaging hard-to-reach pupils.

• Patient, resilient and passionate about supporting young people.

• A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

This is an ASAP start, working within a supportive secondary SEMH setting in Bolton. The school is looking for someone who can bring their practical Hair & Beauty knowledge into the classroom and make a real difference to pupils' development.
