Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Advice and Prevention Officer for a local authority in Suffolk.
In this role, you will provide expert housing advice, assess housing and homelessness needs, and work with customers and partner agencies to prevent homelessness and achieve positive housing outcomes.
Duties:
- Assess housing and homelessness applications in line with current legislation and Council policy.
- Provide advice and take action to prevent or relieve homelessness.
- Manage complex caseloads, maintain accurate records and make housing decisions.
- Work with customers, colleagues and partner agencies to secure suitable housing solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in housing, homelessness or supporting vulnerable customers.
- Experience managing complex caseloads and housing-related enquiries.
- Experience working with housing legislation, policies and procedures.
- Experience of multi-agency working and achieving positive customer outcomes.
What's on offer:
Salary: £22ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 4-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
