Pay: £110 per day

Contract: Full time, Monday to Friday, long term
A primary school on the Wirral is looking for a qualified Teaching Assistant at Level 2 or Level 3. This is a role for someone who already knows their way round a classroom and can take a group off the teacher's hands without needing to be told how.
What you will be doing

• Leading small group work in reading, phonics and maths
• Delivering interventions set by the class teacher and tracking how pupils respond
• Supporting pupils with additional needs, including those with an EHCP
• Covering short periods of class supervision when needed
• Contributing to assessment and record keeping

What the school are looking for

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent
• Recent experience in a primary classroom
• Confidence delivering an intervention programme on your own
• Good phonics knowledge, or willingness to pick up the school scheme quickly
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
