1:1 MATHS & ENGLISH TUTOR OPPORTUNITY - TELFORD

Are you passionate about supporting young people who need a more personalised approach to education?
Spencer Clarke Group is currently looking for compassionate, dedicated and experienced Maths & English Tutors to provide 1:1 tuition across Telford.

The young people we support may be:

• Out of mainstream education
• Struggling with attendance or school refusal
• Experiencing anxiety or SEMH needs
• Diagnosed with ASD or ADHD
• Living with additional learning needs or EHCP requirements
• Finding traditional school settings challenging

As a 1:1 Maths & English Tutor, you will build positive relationships with pupils, identify gaps in their learning and deliver engaging sessions tailored to their individual needs. The aim is to help learners rebuild confidence, improve their academic skills and re-engage with education.

What we're looking for:

• Minimum of 1 year tutoring or teaching experience
• Experience delivering Maths and English tuition
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN
• Strong understanding of additional needs and barriers to learning
• Ability to deliver engaging and differentiated 1:1 sessions
• Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
• Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH or anxiety-related needs is desirable
• GCSE and Functional Skills experience is beneficial
• Availability for flexible daytime sessions
• A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
