We are recruiting a committed and enthusiastic Medical Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Garstang. This is a full-time role starting ASAP, working Monday to Friday during term time.

About the Role:

You will support pupils with medical and physical needs so they can access learning safely. This may include supporting mobility, personal care and following individual healthcare plans, with full training provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils with medical and physical needs throughout the school day
• Follow individual healthcare plans and keep accurate records
• Assist with personal care, mobility and feeding where required
• Support pupils in lessons so they can take part fully
• Communicate with staff, parents and health professionals

Who We're Looking For:

This role suits people with care or health experience, such as:

• Healthcare Assistants or care workers
• Teaching Assistants supporting pupils with medical needs
• Nursing, paramedic or health and social care students or graduates
• First aid, epilepsy or diabetes awareness training (desirable)

You must be:

• Caring and respectful of pupils' dignity
• Attentive to detail and health routines
• Calm and sensible in an emergency
• Discreet with confidential information

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
