We are currently recruiting for a Personal Advisor to support our Local Authority client in Yorkshire.
Contract Length: 3-6 months - with possible extension
Pay Rate: £23 per hour PAYE - Negotiable
We are looking for a motivated, compassionate and committed Leaving Care Personal Advisor to join our Local Authority Clients Pathway Team. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of care leavers, helping them build confidence, develop essential life skills and work towards a future that reflects their aspirations and ambitions.
Key responsibilities:
- Building positive, trusting relationships with young people while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
- Supporting the development, implementation and review of Pathway Plans and contributing to needs assessments.
- Helping young people develop independence skills, raise their aspirations and work towards their personal goals.
- Supporting access to education, employment, training and other opportunities.
Key requirements:
- A good standard of education, including qualifications in English, Maths and IT.
- Recent, relevant experience of working with young people aged 16-25, particularly those with complex needs.
- Experience working with service users in a social care setting.
- Knowledge of the statutory framework for services to looked-after children and care leavers.
- An understanding of the issues facing young people leaving care, including safeguarding and risk management.
