Teaching Assistant (Primary)

Pay Rate: £110 per day
Contract Type: Long-term temp, Full-time

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Bolton. This role involves supporting pupils with additional learning needs and helping them access education in a positive and inclusive environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, 1:1 Teaching Assistant, or SEND Support Worker seeking a rewarding role within primary education.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional learning needs within a mainstream primary setting.
• Support children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, and communication difficulties.
• Assist pupils with emotional regulation, routines, and positive behaviour strategies.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school staff to deliver tailored support.
• Encourage pupil confidence, independence, and engagement in lessons.
• Support the social, emotional, and academic development of individual pupils.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Previous experience working within a chilcare setting.
• SEN experience is desirable.
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
• Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviour.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A genuine passion for education and supporting vulnerable learners.
