Spencer Clarke Group are supporting a local authority to appoint a Response Repairs Surveyor within Housing Services.

Supporting the end-to-end delivery of responsive repairs and relets, ensuring work is completed to a high standard, right first time, and with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and value for money.

Responsibilities include
* Completing pre and post inspections for responsive repairs, exchanges and relets
* Diagnosing defects and specifying remedial works, working directly with tenants and customers
* Raising and ordering works through internal systems and monitoring progress through to completion
* Overseeing the quality and delivery of works completed by in-house trade teams and external contractors
* Taking ownership of repairs and complaints, ensuring issues are resolved promptly
* Coordinating specialist works and dependencies, including arranging and checking items such as scaffolding requirements
* Supporting cost control by monitoring expenditure and ensuring value for money is achieved
* Maintaining strong communication with customers throughout the repairs process and managing expectations

About you
* Competent working with HHSRS, including applying it confidently in housing inspections
* Strong experience dealing with Damp and Mould cases within a housing or property setting
* Background in responsive repairs, property maintenance, relets or similar housing inspection work
* Confident managing contractor performance and driving quality, time and customer outcomes
* Strong customer service and complaint handling skills, with clear and professional communication
* Full UK driving licence and able to travel across the city as required
