Salary: £12,416 - £12,914 actual annual salary (£13.22 - £13.75 per hour)
Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 2pm - 6pm
Working Weeks: 41 weeks per year (term time plus 2 weeks)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Cleaner to join a brand-new specialist school opening in January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a new team and help create a positive, nurturing and well-maintained environment for pupils, staff and visitors from day one.
The school will support children and young people aged 5-19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. It will provide an inclusive, supportive and aspirational environment where every young person is encouraged to thrive.

The Role

As a School Cleaner, you will play an important part in ensuring the school is clean, hygienic and welcoming. Working across classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal areas, you will help maintain high standards of cleanliness while ensuring health and safety requirements are met.
Your responsibilities will include:

• 
  Cleaning classrooms, offices, toilets, corridors and communal areas to a high standard.
• 
  Vacuuming, mopping and maintaining hard and soft floor surfaces.
• 
  Emptying bins and replenishing hygiene and cleaning supplies.
• 
  Dusting, wiping and cleaning furniture, fixtures, fittings and surfaces.
• 
  Following daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules.
• 
  Using cleaning products and equipment safely, in line with COSHH and health and safety guidance.
• 
  Reporting any maintenance issues, defects or potential hazards.
  
  Will need a full Enhanced DBS on the update service.
