School Cook

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-2:00pm
Pay Rate: £18 per hour
Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent

We are currently recruiting an experienced and reliable School Cook to work within a school in Liverpool.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for pupils, maintaining high standards of food hygiene and ensuring that meals are prepared safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking meals in line with the school's menu requirements.

• Ensuring food is prepared, cooked and stored safely.

• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety.

• Monitoring food stock and assisting with stock rotation.

• Ensuring kitchen equipment and work areas are kept clean and organised.

• Following all relevant food safety and health and safety procedures.

Essential Requirements

• Previous professional cooking or catering experience is essential.

• An Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service is essential.

• Good knowledge of food hygiene and food safety procedures.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a catering team.

• A reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.

• Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:00am-2:00pm.
