Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Chorley
Contract Type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday

Daily Rate: £110 per day
Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant for a school in Chorley. This is a full-time role starting ASAP, Monday to Friday during term time.

About the Role:

You will work with pupils who have additional needs, following their EHCPs and support plans so they can access the curriculum alongside their peers. Depending on the placement this may be one to one or supporting a small group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering the targets in pupils' EHCPs and support plans
• Adapting work so pupils can access the lesson
• Using the strategies agreed with the SENDCo, including visual and sensory support
• Supporting communication, social skills and independence
• Recording progress and feeding back to the teacher and SENDCo

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience supporting children with SEND in a school, care or similar setting
• Understanding of conditions such as autism, ADHD and speech and language needs
• A calm, consistent approach to behaviour
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one
• Patience and a genuine interest in the pupils you work with

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
