Daily Rate: £105 to £110 per day

We are recruiting a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Garstang. This is a full-time role starting ASAP, working Monday to Friday during term time.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and physical or sensory impairments. You will play a vital role in supporting both their learning and wellbeing throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing one to one and small group support to pupils with SEN
• Helping pupils access the curriculum and achieve their individual targets
• Supporting the delivery of EHCP outcomes alongside the class teacher
• Using positive behaviour strategies to create a calm, structured environment
• Assisting with personal care and physical support where required

Who We're Looking For:

We welcome applications from people with experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Mentor or Support Worker, as well as psychology graduates and those looking to move into education from care or youth work.
You must be:

• Resilient and calm under pressure
• Patient and genuinely committed to the pupils you support
• Proactive and confident using your initiative
• A strong communicator who works well within a team
• Holder of an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willing to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
