Daily Rate: £110 per day

We are recruiting a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Preston. This is a full-time role starting ASAP, working Monday to Friday during term time.

About the Role:

You will support pupils with a range of needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo, you will help pupils access learning in small groups and on a one to one basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils with SEND on a one to one and small group basis
• Adapt resources and activities to meet individual learning needs
• Help pupils manage emotions and build positive routines
• Work alongside the class teacher and SENCo to deliver EHCP targets
• Record progress and share observations with staff and parents

Who We're Looking For:

We would love to hear from people with experience supporting children or young people, such as:

• Teaching Assistants or Learning Support Assistants
• Experience with autism, ADHD or SEMH needs
• Care, youth work or residential support backgrounds
• Psychology, education or childhood studies graduates

You must be:

• Patient and calm when situations become challenging
• Caring with a genuine interest in children's wellbeing
• Adaptable and happy to follow each child's lead
• Reliable so pupils and staff can count on you

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
