Daily Rate: £105 to £110 per day

We are recruiting a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Preston. This is a full-time role starting ASAP, working Monday to Friday during term time.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and physical or sensory impairments. You will play a vital part in supporting both their learning and their wellbeing throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing one to one and small group support to pupils with SEN
• Helping pupils access the curriculum and work towards their individual targets
• Supporting the delivery of EHCP outcomes alongside the class teacher
• Using positive behaviour strategies to keep the environment calm and structured
• Assisting with personal care and physical support where required

Who We're Looking For:

We welcome applications from people with experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Mentor or Support Worker, as well as psychology graduates and those moving into education from care or youth work.
You must be:

• Resilient and calm under pressure
• Patient and genuinely committed to the pupils you support
• Proactive and confident using your initiative
• A strong communicator who works well within a team
• Holder of an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willing to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
