SEN Teaching Assistant- Primary

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school and provide high-quality support to pupils with additional needs.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the school's SEN team to support children both in the classroom and on a 1:1 or small-group basis.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
• Supporting children with their learning, communication and social development.
• Helping pupils to engage positively with classroom activities.
• Implementing individual support strategies and learning plans.
• Supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs where required.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals.
• Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:

• Confident supporting children with additional needs.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils.
• A strong communicator and team player.
• Reliable, enthusiastic and committed.
• Previous experience working with SEN in a school or similar setting is desirable.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
