Tribunal & Mediation officer - East of England Local Authority

£300 Per day - Negotiable

3-6 month initial contract

We are seeking an experienced Tribunal and Mediation Officer to join our Local Authority client in the East of England. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mediation and resolution experience to join a dedicated SEND team and contribute to the positive outcomes of children and young people.

Essential Requirements:

• Experience of mediation, advocacy and representing councils at tribunal hearings
• Significant knowledge of up to date SEND legislation
• Proven experience managing complex SEND casework within a Local Authority

Duties include:

• Lead on the complex SEND mediation and dispute resolution
• Manage a complex and high risk caseload with sensitivity and ensure compliance with SEND legislation
• Identify risks and help prevent escalation to hearings where possible
