Location: South Coast England
Rate: £400 - 450 Per day
Contract: 12 - Months - 3 days per week

Spencer Clarke Group are supporting a Local Authority on the South Coast who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Estates Surveyor to act as the Estates Workstream Lead on a major flood defence programme.

This role sits alongside existing Commercial Land Agents and Legal Support, and you will provide the senior estates oversight the council needs to confidently review and sign off key documents. You will be expected to give clear, practical professional advice, protect the council's position, and keep the estates workstream moving at pace.

Responsibilities include:

• Acting as Estates Workstream Lead, providing senior oversight across the estates element of the project
• Reviewing Heads of Terms, lease terms and agreements, ensuring the council's interests are protected
• Advising on landlord and tenant matters and acquisition related issues
• Working with external stakeholders and consultants to drive progress and resolve issues
• Quality checking documentation and supporting internal sign-off processes
• Providing clear professional advice to the council's estates team and project stakeholders

About You:

• Demonstrable commercially based experience leading complex property transactions
• Strong working knowledge of landlord and tenant law and acquisition related matters
• Confident reviewing and negotiating Heads of Terms and lease agreements with external stakeholders
• Degree educated with a relevant professional qualification, likely RICS membership
• Flood risk management law knowledge is beneficial but not essential
