We are looking for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a real difference to the lives of young people.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them overcome barriers to learning. You will play an important role in providing personalised support, building confidence and helping pupils achieve their full potential.
The Role
As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs.
- Support pupils with their academic, social, emotional and behavioural development.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs.
- Support teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
- Encourage pupils to develop independence, confidence and resilience.
- Help pupils manage emotions, behaviour and social situations.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress.
- Work closely with teachers, parents/carers and other professionals.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Previous experience working with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD or other additional needs would be highly desirable, although we are also keen to hear from candidates with the right attitude, values and willingness to learn.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
