Spencer Clarke Group are working with a secondary school on the Fylde Coast who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to cover a period of maternity leave.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Science Teacher or ECT to join a supportive department and make a real impact throughout the remainder of the academic year.
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Supporting pupils to achieve their academic potential.
- Differentiating lessons to meet a range of abilities and needs.
- Monitoring, assessing and reporting on pupil progress.
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
- Working collaboratively with the Science department and wider school team.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school.
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Science within a secondary school.
- Has strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4.
- Can deliver engaging and practical Science lessons.
- Has excellent classroom management skills.
- Builds positive relationships with pupils.
- Is reliable, enthusiastic and committed to education.
- Works well as part of a collaborative department.
