Teacher of Science - Maternity Cover

Spencer Clarke Group are working with a secondary school on the Fylde Coast who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to cover a period of maternity leave.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Science Teacher or ECT to join a supportive department and make a real impact throughout the remainder of the academic year.

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Supporting pupils to achieve their academic potential.
• Differentiating lessons to meet a range of abilities and needs.
• Monitoring, assessing and reporting on pupil progress.
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
• Working collaboratively with the Science department and wider school team.
• Contributing to the wider life of the school.

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching Science within a secondary school.
• Has strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4.
• Can deliver engaging and practical Science lessons.
• Has excellent classroom management skills.
• Builds positive relationships with pupils.
• Is reliable, enthusiastic and committed to education.
• Works well as part of a collaborative department.
