Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting Teaching Assistants to work across a range of mainstream primary and specialist SEND schools throughout Liverpool.

We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals with experience supporting children or young people who are looking for their next opportunity within education.

Depending on your experience, you could work within a mainstream primary classroom or a specialist SEND setting, providing 1:1, small-group or general classroom support. Pupils may have additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, communication difficulties or additional learning needs.
Reliability, punctuality and consistency are essential. Many pupils benefit from familiar adults, predictable routines and strong relationships, so schools need Teaching Assistants who are committed to becoming trusted and consistent members of their teams.

The Role:

• 
  Provide 1:1, small-group and classroom support.
• 
  Work within mainstream primary or specialist SEND schools.
• 
  Support pupils with learning, communication and additional needs.
• 
  Help pupils access lessons and remain engaged with learning.
• 
  Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• 
  Work closely with teachers and other support staff.
• 
  Adapt activities and resources to meet individual pupil needs.
• 
  Encourage confidence, communication and independence.
• 
  Build positive and consistent relationships with pupils.
• 
  Help maintain a safe, structured and inclusive environment.

What We're Looking For:

• 
  Previous experience supporting children or young people.
• 
  Teaching Assistant or education experience is desirable.
• 
  Experience with SEND, Autism, ADHD, SEMH or behaviour is advantageous.
• 
  Patient, empathetic and resilient approach.
• 
  Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• 
  Confidence maintaining boundaries and supporting behaviour.
• 
  A proactive and adaptable attitude.
• 
  Excellent reliability, punctuality and attendance.
• 
  Genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their potential.
