Are you passionate about helping young people overcome challenges and reach their full potential?
Perhaps you've worked in care, support work, youth work, sports coaching or mentoring, or you're simply someone who has a natural ability to connect with children and young people.
You don't need to be a qualified teacher or have extensive school experience. We're looking for caring, enthusiastic and resilient individuals who are keen to learn and make a genuine difference.
We are currently recruiting for an Unqualified SEN & SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Chorley, providing support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
You'll provide practical, emotional and educational support to pupils who may need additional help to access their education and manage the challenges they face.
Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, your responsibilities may include:

You'll receive support from experienced colleagues and develop skills in communication, behaviour management, emotional support and inclusive education.
The experience gained could provide a strong foundation for a future career in teaching, education, psychology, counselling, youth work, social care or specialist SEN support.
Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of young people who need the right person in their corner.
