Unqualified Teaching Assistant

Spencer Clarke Group are currently recruiting Unqualified Teaching Assistants for a range of schools across Darwen and the surrounding areas.
We have opportunities available for day-to-day supply, short-term and longer-term assignments, as well as temp-to-perm opportunities for candidates looking to build their experience and career within education.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• 
  Support teachers with lessons and classroom activities
• 
  Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
• 
  Assist pupils with their learning and development
• 
  Support pupils with their social, emotional and behavioural needs
• 
  Help prepare and organise classroom resources
• 
  Encourage positive behaviour and engagement
• 
  Work alongside teachers and wider school staff
• 
  Help create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

• 
  Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
• 
  A genuine interest in working within education
• 
  A patient, caring and supportive approach
• 
  Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• 
  Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• 
  A flexible and adaptable approach
• 
  Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• 
  Willingness to learn and develop within an educational setting
• 
  Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
