Spencer Clarke Group is recruiting Unqualified Teaching Assistants to work across a number of welcoming primary schools in the Leyland area. These are fantastic temp-to-perm opportunities for individuals looking to begin or develop a rewarding career in education.
Whether you have experience working with children through coaching, youth work, childcare, care work, volunteering, tutoring or other transferable roles, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you'll support teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment while helping pupils reach their full potential. You may work with individual pupils, small groups, or provide general classroom support, depending on the needs of the school.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons and classroom activities.
• Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and participation.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
• Assist with preparing classroom resources and learning materials.
• Support pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, teachers and wider school staff.

What We're Looking For

• A genuine passion for working with children and young people.
• Experience in childcare, coaching, youth work, care, tutoring, volunteering or similar roles is desirable but not essential.
• A positive, reliable and enthusiastic attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, adaptability and a willingness to learn.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
