Contract: Full time, Monday to Friday, term time
Spencer Clarke Group are looking for Unqualified Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Liverpool. No qualification is needed and no classroom experience is expected. Schools will train you. What they cannot train is whether you turn up, stay calm and actually like being around children.
A normal week

• Supporting pupils one to one and in small groups through the school day
• Helping the class teacher with resources, transitions and the general running of the room
• Reading with pupils and listening to them read
• Covering break and lunch duties
• Joining in with trips, sports days and the rest of school life

Who tends to do well

• People from childcare, nursery, care work, youth work, sport or hospitality
• Graduates who are thinking about teacher training and want to test the idea first
• Parents returning to work who want school hours and school holidays
• Anyone patient, reliable and willing to be told how a particular school does things
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
