Pay: £105-£110 per day, dependent on experience

The Role

As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher to support pupils across the school day. Your responsibilities may include:

  Supporting individual pupils and small groups with their learning
• 
  Helping children with reading, phonics, writing and mathematics
• 
  Providing additional support to pupils with SEND or additional needs
• 
  Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence
• 
  Preparing classroom resources and learning activities
• 
  Supporting pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes and school activities
• 
  Helping to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

Who We Are Looking For

You do not need to hold a formal Teaching Assistant qualification. However, you should have experience working with children in some capacity.
This could include experience gained through:

• 
  Youth work, sports coaching or tutoring
• 
  Nurseries, childcare or childminding
• 
  Scouts, Guides or community groups
• 
  Volunteering within a school
• 
  Supporting children or young people with additional needs
• 
  Previous employment in care, support work or education

You will need to be patient, dependable and confident communicating with both children and adults. A positive attitude and genuine desire to help children succeed are essential.
