Spencer Clarke Group are working with a welcoming primary school on the Wirral who are seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to take full responsibility for a Year 2 class throughout the academic year. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, foster a love of learning and support pupils as they continue to develop the key skills and knowledge required for Key Stage 1.
The school offers a supportive leadership team, excellent classroom resources and a collaborative working environment. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
Take full responsibility for a Year 2 class.
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
Deliver high-quality phonics, reading, writing and maths lessons.
Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders.
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and carers.
Participate in PPA, staff meetings, parents' evenings and wider school life.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
Experience teaching or completing placements within KS1 is desirable.
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
Passion for delivering engaging, creative and inclusive lessons.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Competitive daily pay of £140-£240 per day.
