What experience do you need to manage a children’s home?
To manage a children’s home, you must have at least two years of experience in a children’s residential care role, within the past five years. At least one of those years must include supervising or managing staff in a residential care setting.
You must also have experience supporting vulnerable children, applying safeguarding and child protection practices, working with professionals such as Social Workers and leading teams to deliver safe, high quality care.
