Primary school

“We are a mainstream primary school which has a large intake of children with SEND and have been working with Spencer Clarke Group since 2023. We heard about Spencer Clarke Group at a network event in a local special school. We were having difficulties with staffing our resource unit when current staff members were poorly or had left. Joseph Chanter and the team worked hard to find staff members with the right experience and personality to support the needs of the children in our resource base.

Difficulties with staffing were causing under-staffing or having adults with insufficient experience supporting our children. At times, the needs of the children appeared to be too great for staff to work with and we tried sourcing from other agencies. However, the calibre of staff available with the correct amount of experience was diminishing.

Spencer Clarke Group however sourced members of staff with the right qualities and worked hard to find the right people to cover absences. Joseph even came out to the unit to see the needs we have and this helped him to be able to recruit the right people.

Spencer Clarke Group has had a very positive impact on our school. We have had a couple of members of staff from Spencer Clarke Group who have been successful and where it hasn't worked out, Joseph has been amazing with trying to find a replacement. He is incredible. He always responds to emails, keeps communication open and honest and will work tirelessly to help with staffing needs.
