Cover Supervisor - Blackpool

Spencer Clarke Group are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Blackpool and the surrounding Fylde Coast area.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising students across a range of subjects when their usual teacher is unavailable. You will be provided with lesson plans and resources and will be expected to maintain a positive, safe and productive learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher
• Delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring students remain on task
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting students with their learning
• Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Providing feedback to teaching staff where appropriate
• Following safeguarding and school procedures

We're keen to hear from candidates who have:

• Previous experience working with children or young people
• Strong classroom or behaviour management skills
• The confidence to supervise groups of secondary-age students
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A professional and reliable approach
• A genuine interest in supporting young people
• A relevant education qualification or experience within a school setting is desirable, but not essential
