Damp Surveyor

Rate: Negotiable
Contract: 3 months ongoing
Spencer Clarke Group are looking for an experienced Damp Surveyor to carry out full property inspections focused on condensation, damp and mould diagnosis, and to specify practical remedial actions.
This role suits someone confident working independently, dealing with residents professionally and empathetically, and seeing remedial works through from diagnosis and specification to supervision and sign-off.
Responsibilities include
- Carrying out damp, condensation and mould surveys, including seasonal monitoring where required
- Correctly diagnosing causes linked to building structure and property condition
- Producing clear remedial specifications and understanding downstream impacts on the wider building fabric
- Using diagnostic equipment and applying sound technical judgement
- Producing drawings and floor plans where required
- Obtaining competitive quotes and raising works via relevant systems and procedures
- Supervising works through to completion, ensuring H&S and statutory compliance
- Completing post-inspections, signing off completion and supporting payment/invoice query resolution
- Liaising across services and partner teams, including managing external resources/contract partners
- Responding to complaints, requests for information and supporting service improvements
About you
- Strong experience as a Damp Surveyor or Building Surveyor with a damp and mould specialism
- Confident specifying remedial works and supervising delivery on site
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision and managing a busy workload to deadlines
- Resident focused approach, professional communication, good written reporting skills
