  • Use visual aids, sensory resources and practical strategies to encourage engagement and learning.

  • Help pupils manage emotions, routines and transitions throughout the school day.

  • Promote positive behaviour, independence and social development.

  • Build supportive relationships with pupils while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.

  • Share observations and progress updates with teachers, the SENCo and relevant colleagues.

Who We're Looking For

We welcome applications from candidates with experience supporting children or young people with additional needs, including:

  • Education Support Workers, SEN Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants.

  • Candidates with experience in special schools, Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) or specialist resource bases.

  • Individuals from care, youth work, residential support or other relevant support work backgrounds.

  • Graduates in psychology, education, childhood studies or related disciplines who are keen to build a career in education support.

You will be:

  • Patient, caring and calm when faced with challenging situations.

  • Adaptable and comfortable working across mainstream and specialist settings.

  • Committed to supporting pupils' wellbeing, development and individual needs.

  • Reliable, professional and able to provide consistent support.

  • A strong communicator who can work effectively as part of a wider school team.

What We Offer

  • Competitive daily rates, paid weekly.

  • A dedicated consultant with knowledge of the local education market.

  • Free ongoing CPD and training opportunities.

  • Opportunities to secure long-term placements and potential permanent positions.

  • Refer-a-friend rewards.
