Family Support Worker - North West Local Authority
£109 per day
3-6 month contract - View to be extended
Hybrid working - 2 days per week onsite
Our Local Authority client in the North West is looking for a Family Support Worker to join the Children and Young People's Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with children, young people and families, providing practical and emotional support while helping to improve outcomes and reduce risk.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience of working with children, young people and/or families, particularly those who may have complex needs or require additional support
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and young people
- Ability to recognise risk and respond appropriately to challenging or potentially difficult situations
Duties include:
- Supporting Social Workers with assessments, care planning and case management
- Providing practical, emotional and family-focused support to children, young people, parents and carers
- Preparing reports and providing information for meetings, reviews and court proceedings when required
