Family Support Worker - Part time

£15.98 p/h PAYE

West Midlands Local Authority

3 month contract

Hybrid working & Remote working options available

We are seeking a confident and experienced Family Support Worker to join the Child Protection Team at our Local Authority client in the West Midlands. You will be working alongside social workers to support families and children and prior experience in family support, domestic abuse, substance use and emotional/mental health work is highly desirable.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, young people, and families withina local authority or similar setting
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Ability to work effectively with social workers, schools, health professionals, and other agencies

Duties include:

  • Support families experiencing difficulties and help prevent family breakdown where possible
  • Build positive working relationships with children, families, schools, social workers, and other professionals
  • Provide practical and emotional support to children, parents, carers, and families

This is a maternity cover role and will only require max of 18 hours working per week.
