Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Solutions Officer for a local authority in East London.
In this role, you will manage homelessness cases, make statutory decisions and secure sustainable housing solutions to prevent homelessness.
Duties:
- Manage homelessness cases and make statutory decisions in line with housing legislation.
- Assess and lawfully discharge or cease homelessness duties.
- Secure private rented accommodation through landlord liaison and rent deposit schemes.
- Prevent homelessness through tenancy sustainment, negotiation and support for vulnerable households.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Significant experience managing homelessness or housing options caseloads.
- Experience making statutory decisions and issuing legally compliant notifications.
- Experience in homelessness prevention, duty cessation and tenancy sustainment.
- Experience working with private landlords, letting agents and vulnerable households.
What's on offer:
Salary: £29ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
