Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Prevention and Relief Officer for a local authority in Southeast London.
In this role, you will assess homelessness applications, provide housing advice and help residents secure suitable accommodation.
Duties:
- Manage homelessness applications and carry out housing assessments.
- Develop Personalised Housing Plans and make statutory decisions.
- Provide housing advice and take action to prevent and relieve homelessness.
- Work with landlords and partner agencies to secure suitable accommodation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working in a local authority Housing Solutions or Homelessness Service.
- Experience conducting homelessness assessments and managing caseloads.
- Experience applying homelessness legislation and making statutory decisions.
- Experience using housing case management systems, ideally NEC Housing.
What's on offer:
Salary: £31ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
