Infrastructure Engineer
Location: London
Rate: Negotiable
Contract: 3 Months ongoing
Spencer Clarke Group are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to support a local authority environment and enterprise directorate, working across highways and traffic asset functions.
You will take schemes from early concept through to design, consultation and delivery handover, producing robust specifications and coordinating stakeholders throughout.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and deliver highways and traffic engineering schemes from inception to completion
- Produce designs, specifications, drawings and work packages for delivery teams/contract management
- Undertake surveys, inspections, investigations and site visits, then define remedial actions
- Manage consultation and stakeholder engagement across the project lifecycle
- Maintain/update asset records following completion of works
- Provide technical advice to internal and external stakeholders
- Support reports, briefs and correspondence, and contribute to future programmes/funding bids
- Ensure compliance with H&S and relevant legislation/processes
About you:
- Highways/traffic engineering experience within a local authority or consultancy setting
- Working knowledge of relevant highways and traffic legislation and consultation processes
- Competent in one or more engineering and traffic design techniques
- Comfortable using CAD and GIS tools (plus MS Office and specialist engineering software)
- Able to manage multiple deadlines and communicate confidently with varied stakeholders
