We are currently recruiting for a Let's Talk Advisor to join an Adult Social Care team based in South Shields.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, customer-focused professional who is passionate about supporting adults with care and support needs and helping people achieve positive outcomes.


As a Let's Talk Advisor, you will be a key first point of contact for people seeking information, advice and support. You will work with individuals to understand their needs, provide appropriate guidance and connect them with the right services and support.


Key responsibilities:

  • Providing a high-quality, person-centred service to members of the public and professionals.
  • Handling enquiries and providing information and advice across multiple systems.
  • Supporting conversations with people face-to-face to understand their needs and circumstances.
  • Helping individuals access appropriate services and community-based support.
  • Promoting independence by taking a strengths-based approach and identifying the resources available to individuals and within their communities.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and partner services to ensure people receive the right support, in the right place, at the right time.
  • Ensuring all work is safe, proportionate, customer-focused and compliant with relevant statutory requirements.
  • Sharing good practice and contributing to a positive, effective team environment.


Key requirements:

  • Experience in a customer-facing/person-centred role, ideally within Adult Social Care, health or social care.
  • Experience supporting adults with care and support needs and understanding individual circumstances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence handling sensitive conversations.
  • Experience providing information, advice, guidance and signposting to appropriate services and support.
  • Understanding of person-centred and strengths-based approaches, with a focus on promoting independence.
  • Confident using multiple IT systems, working collaboratively with professionals and maintaining accurate records.


Contract Length: 3-6 months with a view to extend to an ongoing contract.
Pay Rate: £17.47 PAYE
Working pattern - 37 hours per week.
